The CV2288 is a miniature audio output valve, commercially the DL66. It can produce the very small power of 2.5 mW and would need to be used with a high impedance headphone.
the grids can be seen through the holes in the anode. The red spot on the envelope denotes pin one which is the anode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 8 x 5 mm, and excluding the flying leads is 33 mm tall.
