The Hivac D210SW is a battery triode with a ceramic base and a rich Gold metalisation. It dates from 1936 when Hivac introduced their SW or Short Wave versions of earlier valves. The ceramic base was made from 'Frequentite'.
With a 2 Volt filament was designed to be heated from an accumulator supply.
The classic envelope is 37 mm in diameter, and excluding the B4 base pins, is 110 mm tall.
Reference: 1043. Type D210SW was first introduced in 1936.
