The 6AQ5W is a small audio output beam tetrode valve capable of 4.5 Watts when operated in a single ended configuration. It is a special quality version of the 6V6 design squeezed into a B7G envelope.
The etching on the top of the envelope reads Canada.
The anode is ribbed for mechanical stability and carbonised to radiate as efficiently as possible. The copper control grid supports are topped off with heat sink fins.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 58 mm tall.
