The CV4108 is a special quality double triode. It is built to withstand operation in environments of shock and vibration, typically in aircraft and industry. Designed to operate under cut-off conditions for long periods it is also useful for logic circuits as well as AF and RF applications.
The prototype was the 7308 which is a direct equivalent to the E188CC.
The deep recess in the anode. Only the small rectangle at the front receives electrons.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 47 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type CV4108 was first introduced in 1962. See also 1962 adverts.
