The SC1/1000 is a corona voltage stabiliser. It is hydrogen filled and designed to work at 1000 V for currents between 20 - 300 μA.
The GEC paper brand label - these stabilisers were mainly used in professional equipment not consumer electronics.
The central anode connects to the top cap.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 65 mm tall.
