The CV753 is a miniature diode on a B7G base and features a 1.4 Volt indirectly heated cathode. The prototype was the 1A3 and both Type designations appear on the glass.
The bright anode with a small central space for the cathode and oxide coated heater. The cathode lead connects to the support on the right. The heater is a single strand supported top and bottom. As the heater is insulated no tension spring is needed as the heater can make contact with the cathode tube without shorting anything.
Here the cathode connection and rod to the base pin are clear.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 44 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type CV753 was first introduced in 1943. See also 1943 adverts.
