The X18 is a battery heptode frequency changer or mixer. It was designed for AM broadcast radio reception on the short, medium and long wave bands.
The oscillator feed needs to 15 volts pk-pk.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
