The HL20 is a detector triode for use with series connected heaters in AC/DC or universal receivers.
The paper band informs the user that the metallic coating is connected to the cathode and must not come into contact with any screen etc.
Here the wire connecting to the zinc loaded screening paint can be seen.
The identification is printed onto the dome of the envelope. Also present is the heater voltage and anode voltage.
The balloon envelope is 50 mm in diameter and, excluding the B5 base pins, is 102 mm tall.
