The PM22D is a high sensitivity battery output pentode from the mid 1930's.
The anode is oval shaped and the electrodes are held firm in the shouldered envelope by the push-fit top mica.
The top mica showing the three inverted oxide coated filament strands held in place by three tension arms.
The classic envelope is 40 mm in diameter, and excluding the B5 base pins is 95 mm tall.
