The 6CB6A is a short cut-off high impedance voltage amplifier pentode.
The construction is similar to the EF91 including the coating on the inside of the envelope to reduce out gassing from the glass, but they are not pin compatible. Unlike the EF91 the electrode between the central area and the outer anode on each side is a beam plate.
The envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 46 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type 6CB6A was first introduced in 1957. See also 1957 adverts.
