The 4PR60A is a high vacuum tetrode for use as a pulse modulator. The anode dissipation is 60 Watts and the pulse output power is of the order of 300 kW.
The data-sheet says that this Type replaces 715C and 5D21.
The anode is cylindrical and the valve was made in the USA.
The ceramic ring that locks into the valve holder is held in place by a central pin sealed into the glass of the valve. Note the grub screw.
The anode is screwed to the top cap assembly. The anode is possibly made of graphite.
The wide glass tube envelope is 76 mm in diameter, and excluding the base pins is 139 mm tall.
