The VCX2200 is a disc seal triode designed for pulse operation. The DC anode voltage is limited to 800 Volts but a pulse or 4,500 can be used.

The grid connection ring is 57 mm in diameter and the anode ring s 71 mm in diameter.

The base of the anode gives basic operating data.

The anode is fitted with a large surface area of heat sinking fin wrapped around the central core. Cooling is by forced air.

The grid ring also has holes for cooling air. The right of the image shows the heater and cathode connection.

Within the envelope the grid can be seen to have a series of holes in the support.

The wide glass tube envelope is 46 mm in diameter, and including the base pins is 106 mm tall.
