The VHTS is a heptode (pentagrid) mixer or frequency changer. The 300 mA heater indicates that it was for use with a series heater chain across the mains. The anode voltage of 200 Volts is consistent with UK mains voltages. The signal is taken to grid 4 at the top cap.
The VHTS is similar to the TH13C.
The reverse is plain gold coloured zinc paint.
The balloon envelope is 44 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 107 mm tall.
