The 35A5 is an audio output beam tetrode designed for use in equipment without mains transformers but employing series heater chains. A load impedance of 4,500Ω is specified and at 10% total harmonic distortion (THD) the audio output is given as 3.3 Watts. Single ended operation being the design purpose.The central spigot is connected to the base shell.
The anode is a rectangular box partly obscured by an inner coating on the glass. The control grid is fitted with heat radiating fins above the top mica.The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8B base pins is 67 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040. |
