The AW3 gas filled voltage stabiliser is on a B4 base. AW3 is the UK Army designation, VS111 is the RAF designation and both types were renamed CV1110.
The striking voltage is 180 V and the burning current is from 6 to 75 mA. Within the current range the regulation is 5 volts.
The Anode cylinder with closed top.
The balloon envelope is 50 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 105 mm tall.
