The PCL82 triode pentode is a typical television audio output and/or frame oscillator and output stage valve.The double valve enabled the demodulated audio signal to be amplified and applied to the speaker by using the minimum number of components and printed circuit board space.
The full height triode on the right. The pentode section has cooling fins on the control grid supports.The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and excluding the B9A base pins, is 69 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040. Type PCL82 was first introduced in 1955. See also 1955 adverts. |
