The 5763 is a small transmitting beam tetrode valve for HF and low VHF use and is equivalent to the Mullard QV03-12. This exhibit has orange lettering and our other Brimar 5763 has white lettering denoting different production times and/or batches. Full details with the other exhibit.
The two grids can be seen as can the beam plate within the anode notch. Both grids pass flat across the cathode. The control grid has copper support rods.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 59 mm tall.
References: data-sheet & 1040. Type 5763 was first introduced in 1949. See also 1949 adverts.
