The VA26T is photocell with an antimony photo-cathode.
The anode is a rectangular wire ring.
The photo-cathode is deposited directly on the envelope glass.
The small bucket by the pinch originally held the photo-cathode material. There is no obvious connection to the top cap but it has to connect to the coated glass.
