The type 41E is a high gain audio output pentode. The original Type 41 is electrically identical to the type 6K6GT but we can not find specifications for the E variant.
The 41 was designed for single ended or push-pull use in the output stages of domestic equipment.
The electrodes are mounted high in the envelope. The control grid copper rods have fins at the top.
The round anode. The stitches that hold the two sides together and clamp it to the supports are at the ends of the grid line and not at the centre of the working face.
The classic envelope is 38 mm in diameter, and excluding the UX6 base pins is 88 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet, 1040 & 1043. Type 41E was first introduced in 1936. See also 1936 adverts.
