The 2V3G is a half wave EHT rectifier with a tungsten filament. The voltage is given as PIV as the input may not be sinusoidal at 8 kV.
At first it was thought that the filament current was misprinted. However, on test the filament did not reach five amps but was very bright.
The helical tungsten filament in the centre of the anode bell.
The filament as seen through the microscope and the glass of the envelope.
The classic envelope is 38 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 93 mm tall.
