The VP1322 is a vari-μ HF pentode with a 200 mA heater designed for series heater chains. This allowed for domestic receiver to be made that would operate from either AC or DC mains. Until the UK National Grid was fully complete both AC or DC mains supplies were available in different parts of the country.
The reverse is plain zinc loaded screening paint.The classic envelope is 38 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 98 mm tall.References: Data-sheet, 1040 & 1043. Type VP1322 was first introduced in 1936. See also 1936 adverts. |
