The CV2002 is a CV136 with tape leads welded to the original pins. This was a post initial production process and the original CV136 is printed on the glass with the Cv202 written on the side.
The CV136 is an audio output pentode valve for radio receiver use, commercially this was the 6AM5. In single ended configuration it will produce 1.4 Watts, enough for a receiver.
The CV specification demands full output at 100 MHz and so the intended use was not exclusively audio.
If used in push pull an output of 4 Watts is possible, but this valve was not expected to be used for hi-fi.
The KB/D identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the D identifies the maker as Mullard Radio Valve Co., Mitcham.
The Original lettering with the CV136 struck through.
The leads are clearly tapes that are secured in the spacer and present a vertical surface to the original pins.
The plastic spacer has a central faux spigot that is connected to an eighth lead.
Internally the cathode is flattened and the inner grids are wound on copper supports.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
