The CV2300 is a selected 3A4 and is a miniature output pentode is specified for both audio and transmitter use. For a small dry battery valve 1.2 Watts output in the HF range would be quite an achievement. The ratings given above show a higher anode voltage and cathode current compared to the 3A4 and probably this made the CV2300 more suitable for transmitter use in battery portable or hand held sets.
The bright anode hides the inner structure.
