The CV136 is an audio output pentode valve for radio receiver use, commercially this was the 6AM5. In single ended configuration it will produce 1.4 Watts, enough for a receiver.
The CV specification demands full output at 100 MHz and so the intended use was not exclusively audio.
If used in push pull an output of 4 Watts is possible, but this valve was not expected to be used for hi fi.
The anode hides most of the inner structure but there is just sufficient detail visible through the side anode notch to see that it is a true pentode with three wire grids.
The inner grids are wound on copper supports for good heat transmission. The insulated heater wire can be identified as a coil within the ceramic coating.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and excluding the B7G base pins, is 45 mm tall.
