The 62BT pentode was designed as a television line output valve in the late 1930's. The anode, taken to the top cap, can withstand a surge of 8,000 Volts, this also explains the ceramic insulators within the envelope. Anode dissipation is 25 Watts and screen grid dissipation is 5.5 Watts. It is most probable, given the construction, that the 62BTR was a post war replacement made by M-OV.
The IO base and pins. Thanks to Mark Mallison for sending the images. The wide glass tube envelope is mm in diameter, and excluding the B7G base pins is mm tall.Reference: 1040. |
