The KT36 was designed as a line output valve for television use. This exhibit has a metal skirt whereas other examples have a Bakelite base cap.
The maximum positive surge on the anode is 4,000 Volts, and the dissipation is 10 W for the anode and 3 W for the screen grid.
There remains a fragment of the original Osram paper label. Osram being a consumer brand of M-OV. The metal skirt seems then to be a production variant and not issued for a special purpose.
The pinch area. The cathode is rectangular and has four insulated heater strands within giving 7.8 Watts of heating power. The control grid has copper supports for superior cooling.
The classic envelope is 45 mm in diameter, and excluding the IO base pins is 115 mm tall.
