The CV1092 is a tiny signal diode. It was used in demodulation and other signal rectification duties. The CV specification cites the EA50 and VR92 as prototypes.
Our exhibit D1 is physically identical, but has a 4.0 Volt heater.
The thin glass tube envelope is 11 mm in diameter and, including the B3G base pins, is 45 mm tall.
