The De Forest DV-2 is an early triode with an amplification factor (μ) of about eight. We believe the introduction of the DV-2 was about 1923 and the version with the Isolantite base from 1924. The longer label seen on this exhibit dates from 1925.
The paper label is for recording test details.

Reference: Bill Condon & 3002. Type DV-2 was first introduced in 1923. See also 1923 adverts.
