The 6977 is a sub-miniature indicator designed for computer applications.
The anode is a wire wound grid coated with a phosphor that gives a bright blue-green glow. The intensity of the display is proportional to the anode current.
The phosphor coated wound anode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 5 mm in diameter, and excluding the base wires is 27 mm tall.
