This exhibit is a Cossor Metal valve but it also says made in USA. On the other side of the envelope it also gives the actual maker as Ken-Rad. Clearly a re-brand for use in Cossor sets. The 5Z4 was designed to supply equipment of up to 40 Watts total power. No pretence the Ken-Rad name is proudly presented on the envelope. The thin metal tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter and excluding the IO base pins, is 67 mm tall.References: Data-sheet, 1040 & 1043. Type 5Z4 was first introduced in 1935. See also 1935 adverts. |
