The American service code VT-118 is the commercial 832 dual transmitting tetrode. The heater has a centre tap to allow for 6.3 or 12.6 Volt working.
The design the American type with two separate valves sealed into the single element, contrast this with QQE03-20 which is the classic European pattern. In use the American valves require external neutralisation capacitors whereas the European type has the capacitors built-in.
The Ken-Rad logo along side the US Army Type designation VT-118.
The equivalence with the commercial type is indicated by the dual labeling.
The wide glass tube envelope is 51 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7A base pins is 70 mm tall.
