The B442 is a screen grid valve or tetrode designed for MF and HF amplification.
The top cap on this exhibit is taller than the one on B442, the latter is the type generally found and we suspect that this is an earlier version.The balloon envelope is 45 mm in diameter, and excluding the B5 base pins is 110 mm tall.Reference: Data-sheet.
