about

The 3C24 is a small American transmitting triode. This exhibit also carries the American service code VT-204.
Inspite of its small size it produces a considerable amount of RF power up to the low VHF region.
The anode is a bell that contains the filament and grid in a coaxial arrangement.
The wide glass tube envelope is 33 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX4 base pins, is 90 mm tall.
References: Datasheet. Type 3C24 was first introduced in 1945.
