The 6SN7W is an American glass tubular version of the mid 1930s metal double triode valve.
The W designation is a special quality version of the GT variant designed to withstand severe vibration and shock in use.
The construction uses a glass foot and two separate electrode structures are visible through the envelope.
The anode end view. On the base is the anchor logo of the US navy.
The Type designation etched into the dome is 6SN7A. This suggests the W valves were selected on test.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter and excluding the IO base pin length, stands 71 mm high.
