The VT-90 is the US Government name for the commercial double signal diode Type 6H6. The two separate diodes being mounted close to the glass disc had lower lead inductance that diodes mounted on a conventional pinch and thus could operate at higher frequencies. The 6H6 design found use in radar and television.
