The 1LC6 is an American pentagrid converter, but one designed for dry battery operation. In the Zenith 8G005 broadcast receiver that this exhibit comes from the line up is:- 1LN5 RF amplifier, 1LC6 mixer, 1LN5 IF amplifier, 1LD5 detector and amplifier, 1LE3 phase splitter, and a pair of 1LB4s as audio output.

The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the B8B base pins, is 55 mm tall.
