The CV469 was based on the VX8062 and is an ultra miniature diode with an indirectly heated cathode. The bright anode is 9 mm long including the supporting ceramic insulators. The commercial EA76 was introduced in 1953.
We have a small bag full of these diodes from an eBay auction.
This type of miniature valve was hand made by specialist operators - amazing.
The thin glass tube envelope is 5 mm in diameter and, excluding the base wires is 26 mm tall.
