The CV4068 is a double triode. Its commercial equivalent is the 6158 which is the special quality version of the 13D3.
The 6158 was designed to operate as a Class B push-pull audio amplifier. The only Brimar manual we have that lists the 6158 is from 1961. We believe that this Type was issued in around 1960.
The KB/AD identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the AD identifies the maker as Brimar - Thorn-AEI , Rochester.
The side view shows the separate electrode systems.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins, is 48 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet, 1040 & 4062. Type CV4068 was first introduced in 1960. See also 1960 adverts.
