The CV492 is the 12AX7 high impedance amplifier triode. The design has a high amplification factor of 100. The RCA data-sheet says the valve is suited to RC-coupled amplifiers, multi-vibrators and industrial control.The KB/AD identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the AD identifies the maker as Brimar - Thorn-AEI, Rochester.
