The EZ90 miniature HT rectifier follows the normal pattern for a full wave device in that a common cathode is employed.
At 325-0-325 input to the rectifier this will give an HT rail higher than is required for most domestic receivers. Use for audio amplifiers and small transmitters is most probable, or driven at 250 volts for radio receivers.
See also6X4 from Brimar. The 12X4 has the same rectifier characteristics but a 12 Volt heater and was designed for car radio use.
The anodes are identical (one fins up the other fins down) but in this exhibit the two halves of each anode have been opened out at the ends to offer greater radiating area. The inside of the thin nickel sheet anode is bright with the outside blackened.
The cathode is coated all the way along its length.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and the length, excluding the B7G base pins, is 60 mm.
