This DK96 from Mullard is labelled British Made and therefore comes from the earlier production runs of this valve.The DK96 frequency changer was designed for broadcast radio receivers.The dry battery valve portable radio was killed stone dead by the transistor radio in the mid 1960s.The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040.
