The AL60 is a high voltage power pentode with an 18 Watt anode dissipation. Unlike the CV9 this commercial version does not have the ceramic insulators.
The AL60 dates to the mid 1940's and is not listed in the 1949 Mullard manual.
This exhibit still carries the BBC valve section label and gives a date of 16 February 1944 it also has a second date of 5 January 1946.
The classic envelope is 49 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 128 mm tall.
