The CV4001 is the CV4005 fitted with flying leads. Both are 'reliable' versions of the commercial 6X4 full wave rectifier.

The envelope is also marked 6AS6W but this is a dual use of the Type designation as the 6AS6W is also used for a dual control pentode.

The anodes are mounted at right angles to one another on the common cathode.

Made in the UK and a clear view of the coated cathode.

The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7G base pins is 59 mm tall.
