The 9D2 is a variable μ RF pentode. The 200 mA heater requirement indicates that this valve is suitable for series heater chain use.
The original Brimar paper label is still mainly present. The outer wording is Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd the UK subsidiary of ITT and the maker of Brimar valves. Brimar standing for - BRItish Made American Range.The classic envelope is 39 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 99 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1043.
