The type 6SG7, USA service designation VT-211, was designed for wideband RF and IF amplification and has a relatively high gm value to ensure a good gain-bandwidth product.
The valve has dual cathode lead-outs to minimise the risk of self-oscillation due to parasitic coupling between input and output circuits caused by common impedance in series with the cathode.
The RCA logo on the other side of the can.
The thin metal tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 51 mm tall.
