The 35T is a directly heated power triode for use at up to 100 MHz, at maximum input one 35T can produce up to 235 Watts of RF. The anode is small but can dissipate 50 Watts.
The 24G is constructed in a similar way.
The anode with the cage grid extending above and below. The control grid can dissipate 15 Watts.
The anode is circular as the electron flow is through a cylindrical cage of grid wires.
The wide helix is present to hold the grid cage in shape. The small inner helix is the filament.
Here the lower ends of the grid wires can be seen in their support ring. These are thick wires for a substantial job.
The wide glass tube envelope is 45 mm in diameter, and excluding the UX4 base pins is 122 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type 35T was first introduced in 1951. See also 1951 adverts.
