The W727 is a variable μ pentode for use at HF. Most often as an IF amplifier in superhet receivers. This GEC exhibit is also marked with the alternative Type designation of 6BA6. The 1954 data-sheet states that the W727 is the commercial equivalent of CV454.![](../pics/abp0023a.jpg)
