The EF732 is a special quality wide band HF amplifier pentode. The valve has a sharp cut-off characteristic.
This pentode uses lead out wires to the B8D/F base layout for direct soldering into circuit as the valve was considered to be as reliable as the rest of the components used in the design.
The suppressor grid with the wide spaced winding is clear to see. The screen grid is of a much smaller pitch that seems to match the pitch of the control grid. However, the control grid is difficult to see even under a glass. It shows the skill and dexterity of the workers who assembled this tiny valve.
The thin glass tube envelope is 10 mm in diameter and, excluding the 8 leadout wires is 34 mm tall.
