The VR12F is a dull emitter triode made for the RAF. The filament was designed for operation from a two Volt accumulator.
This valve was later given the Type designation of CV1560 and thus was still being used at least until 1941 when the CV register became operational.
The AM and Crown mark this as an Air Ministry valve as does the VR in the designation.
The anode is a bright box and the filament is a single oxide coated hairpin.
The construction of the base is typical Cossor.

The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 78 mm tall.
