The VT-4C is the commercial Type 211 as specified by the US Government. It is a directly heated audio power triode for amplifier and modulator service. It is also rated for RF amplification.
As a single ended device in class A1 the output is just under 20 Watts. As a class B push-pull amplifier that output rises to 260 Watts.
The locating pip on the base shell. The valve holder is of the bayonet locking type. The main components are rigidly held by supports fixed to a collar around the pinch stem.
The anode is graphite. Our UV-211 has a metal anode. The supports are substantial and made of ceramic.
